DIOCESAN ORDER OF MERIT

It is with great joy that we recognize the involvement of Mrs. Evelyn Diamond Theroux, a member of St. Mary’s Parish, in the Church of Saint-Jean-Longueuil. In recognition of this commitment, Mrs. Evelyn Diamond Theroux will be installed as a member of the Diocesan Order of Merit of Saint-Jean-Longueuil by Bishop Lionel Gendron. This celebration will be held on Friday, June 8th at 7:30 pm at the St. Jean Evangelist Cathedral, 215 rue Longueuil, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. We give thanks to God for what she has accomplished.  We pray to the Lord that he will bless her, those who are close to her, and those who benefit from her presence and devotion.

At this same celebration, an Honorary Distinction will be awarded to the Diocesan Council for Development and Peace. Mr. Dan Lafreniere has been asked by the Council to represent the English-speaking parishes of the Saint John Paul II Pastoral Unit.
